Hi, I'm Pablo Solórzano, as you can see I am many things, among them a happy husband and a proud father of a beautiful little girl who grows more and more every day. I also like to say that I am an eternal learner and since I can remember I have never stopped learning, reading, learning and I guess I will continue like this until the end...
Like you, I also have the thirst to know the world so I have lived in places like Cordoba (Argentina), London (England), Santander (Spain) and Munich (Germany), places where I continued learning and studying, and where I also took the opportunity to visit museums, libraries, castles, palaces ... or simply lost myself in the streets ...
As for the formal part, I studied tourism in Peru (I am an Official Tourist Guide), the official master's degree in Historical and Territorial Heritageat the University of Cantabria (Spain), where I also studied History. And as a good and eternal apprentice, after the age of 40, I studied Sustainable Tourism at the Jesuit University Antonio Ruiz de Montoya in Peru. Today I continue to train myself in everything that interests me and helps me to do a good job.
After so much toiling here and there, I decided it was time to return home, so for some years now I have been back in Lima putting my experience at the service of people. I have worked for many years for important Peruvian tour operators so I was lucky enough to guide people from different parts of the world, and also in the public sector as I was a tour guide in the Metropolitan Municipality of Lima and currently I am a tour guide for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Peru.
I am also an entrepreneur and I offer tours and walking tours in Lima to national and foreign tourists, families, schools and universities in my enterprise ARTE LIMA. And as sharing knowledge is one of my passions, I am a teacher at CENFOTUR, a tourism training center under the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Tourism of Peru.
Writing is another of the things I love the most, so I have published travel articles in “Estampa” (magazine of the newspaper Expreso de Lima), and “Lo Nuestro” (supplement of the official newspaper “El Peruano”) and in the magazine Viajeros de Perú. In addition, I wrote for a long time one of the first Peruvian travel blogs: “La brújula del azar”.
I love art, history, literature and everything that allows us to see human genius. Guiding for me is to create a bridge between heritage and visitors, where I am just a medium who tries to spread his passion. I offer you a great diversity of tours and walking tours around Lima that you can see in this link. If you want to enjoy one of these tours just contact me.
As you can see they have different themes that include the history and art of this ancient city always trying to explore new places or inviting to look at the known with new eyes. I can also create tours with very different themes from the traditional ones if you wish. In addition, I specialize in tours to various art and history museums in Lima.
